BOOK REVIEW 📖 The Stars That Aligned By Phalguni Jagadeesh

BOOK REVIEW 📖 The Stars That Aligned By Phalguni Jagadeesh There’s something disarming about a book that doesn’t try too hard to impress you and this book is exactly that kind of read. It doesn’t arrive with grand declarations or ornate language. Instead, it quietly opens a door and lets you step into someone’s inner world, one feeling at a time. At its heart, this collection feels like a journey from emotional stillness to rediscovery. It begins in a place many people hesitate to admit aloud, the loss of desire, the dull weight of existing without really living. And then, almost gently, it shifts. Love enters not as a dramatic rescue, but as a slow warmth, something that rebuilds rather than fixes. That transition from emptiness to meaning is where the book finds its strongest footing. What stands out most is how conversational the poems feel. They don’t read like performances, they read like thoughts that needed somewhere to go. The language is simple, almost deliberately so, b...

BOOK REVIEW 📕 Of the heart and soul-a mellifluous whisper by Piyali Mitra

Image
The cover of this book is beautifully designed. The title is really interesting and made me pick this one. This is a very different kind of book analyzing the concept and how it feels to be in love. In this book the author shares how love can be the source of inspiration and abjection at the same time. This is also a memory book remembering the various emotions her mother has been subjected to. My favourite poems from the book are: A Lonely Camaraderie,Since the day I met you, Mother- My Life and many more. Here are some of my favourite lines from the poem: "A solitary walk down the lane. Leaves her unsure and uncertain. She looks around but found no one, Hollowness sucks her deep. She looks within and found you smiling, Beckoning her to embrace and hold her tightly, Lest you be gone again at a blink. All alone sitting on the edge of her bed With hands shielding her face, With tears tinkling down, Yearning deep within to get." Grab the book to read more! Th...

ABOUT THE BOOK BY THE AUTHOR 📕 Blueberries In My Salad: My Journey Towards Fitness & Strength by Amit Arora

Image
This book describes a journey of clean eating and regular workouts that I undertook with my wife from being fat to fit. Like a salad, life may not be the most appealing lunch option but if you can keep finding the blueberries every now and again, it is both rewarding and fulfilling. Initially, I wanted to write a book documenting our journey towards fitness and strength on a day to day or at least a week by week basis. As things progressed, I realized that we were not the only ones on this journey and the Internet was filled with blogs and YouTube videos that document in great detail, very successful, inspiring and transformational stories. Why was I wanting to reinvent the wheel by writing our story on the same lines? I thought that while a daily or weekly journal was not something I could do but definitely there were "topics" on which I would like to pen down my thoughts. For example, the most often asked question, "What diet did we follow?", "Do I really...

1)Can you please introduce yourself and tell us something about your book "Jecht Quincy is The Prince of Death"? Hello my name is Jasen Mapp and my book "Jecht Quincy is the Prince of Death" is the first of a five part saga that attempts to tell the story of a boy growing up too fast in a world of war, trying to cope with his own demons just doing what he can to protect the family he has. 2.  What is your motive behind writing this book?  Well at first my motive behind writing it was just as fun writing exercises to get my mind away from things when my life was in a pretty rough state. But eventually I just wanted to keep going and going. But I think in 2021, the messages in Jecht's story of how family can get you through any dark time is most important. 3) How did you become an author? I was in high school and my teacher told me I was his best writer and the ego boost I got was abnormal. But in all seriousness, I always had a knack for this. I am a great liar...

The cover of this book is really unique and intriguing. The title is apt for the book. Coming to the plot, the book starts with 3 stories which seem to be independent. In the second story, Teddy finds an old phone of his dead brother which leads him to hidden safe. And in the last one, a trained assassin named seven finds more about his true nature when he takes on an entire organization who wanted to put him down. Author Interview with Lynn McAllister

Image
1. Can you please introduce yourself and tell us something about your book 'Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Artificial Intelligence'?  Hi Everyone! My name is Lynn McAllister and I am a first-time children's author from Twickenham UK. I have been living in Twickenham with my partner and 2 daughters, who are 12 and 15 now, for some years having grown up in Lincolnshire in a more rural setting, first moving to South East London and over the years migrating to the lovely leafy suburbs of South West London! I work as an administrator in a special needs school for students with speech and language difficulties, which only opened last year. The whole experience in getting the school up and running had been a valuable, unique experience, with many challenges along the way, but ultimately rewarding. The lockdowns and restrictions have been especially testing for all educators, delivering classes in school, planning online lessons for homeschooling and providing support...
